Catholic Churches in Plano would be a good start for meeting other Filipino's in the area. Plano is mostly Chinese though. Dallas Pinoy's tend to reside in Mesquite & Garland.

Hey!
The Filipino population could really use a boast.
Irving, Lewisville, and Grand Prairie also have sizable amounts of Fil-ams.
I've noticed that the filipino tend to follow the Chinese community a lot.
I'm Chinese, and some of my family is from the Philippines.
I will often hear some sort of Filipino, often times Tagalog but occasionally Ilocano or Visayan, around chinese cultural centers.
I remember being right next to this one Filipino family when I was watching the Chinese New Year celebration, and I know a large number of Filipinos who involve their child in Chinese based schools.
There is a Filipino community present though, i know there are regular filipino get together. however I think that unlike the other Asians like the Vietnamese, Koreans, and Chinese, the Filipinos don't cluster so much in one area. So the community is spread throughout the whole metropolitan area.
There is only two Filipino Chruches that I am aware of, and one is Methodist I believe, the other none-denominational.
Umphress Road
The Filipino American Alliance Church
Those are the only ones I know for sure exists.
It is said that there is one (which is also Methodist) at:
3501 Sherrye Dr, Plano, TX - (972) 424-4803
Here are some filipino Organization I've had some of my pinoy friends tell me about :
http://faantx.org
Here is the only major Filipino market, although you can usually find a section for Filipinos in the local Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean stores: Fort_Worth_Filipino_Market
Although some suposed but unconfirmed stores would be:
3261 Karla Dr, Dallas, TX - (214) 270-2334
Some Filipino Restaurants are:
2122 E. Beltline Road, Richardson, TX - (972) 238-7199- D'Kusina
2318 Rock Island, Irving, TX - (972) 253-8295 - Filipino Cusine
Ste 148, 940 E Belt Line Rd, Richardson, TX - (972) 235-6703 - Palayok a taste of the Philippines
I hope I helped.

Hi CMDallas,
First of all, I’d like to thank you for the help.
I would agree that Filipinos are everywhere. So are Chinese people. A lot of Filipinos, in the early 40s (during and post WW2) migrated to US. Then another tranche in early 60s. Filipinos tend to marry different nationalities hence most of the Pinoys around are "half-half". We do not have distinct or prominent features (such as deep-set eyes (as Indians), chinky eyes (chinese/japs/vietnamese/etc), pointy noses or colored eyes (americans/europeans), dark skins (African-americans)...etc..etc.. so when mixed with different nationalities our children will have a several features. (Trivia, pure Filipinos have “TAN skin”, a nicer “TAN”…I considered myself as “pure” Filipino even 2 of my great grandparents where said to be half – Chinese and half- Spaniard). Maybe that’s why I lost the tan color. I’m whiter or fair than most pinoys.
I met different nationalities in NJ, NY, Europe, and few in Dallas. A lot wonder how Asians differ from ea other. I'm not a history freak but I seem to know basic info about Asian origins - I'm in a Banking Industry in the Phil for 14 yrs now and I need to know.
Please allow me to categorically clarify few points you have mentioned. The reason you may have thought that “Filipinos tend to follow the Chinese community a lot" and that “Filipinos involve their child in Chinese based schools”…Are based on the following:
Without using a history book, no major group of Filipinos ever migrated to China. It’s the other way around. During the post war in China, early chinese migrants started their businesses in our country. They did very well and most of them married Filipinos to acquire Filipino citizenship and retain their businesses. To date, these early group of "Chinoys" (business Chinese-Filipinos) are one of the affluent, respected, known families in the Philippines. Nowadays, many Chinese stay in the Phil... It’s a free country. You may also check the Forbes or Asian top business Filipinos, such as Sy Family (Henry & Teresita), Lucio Tan, John Gokongwei, Andrew Tan, etc… if they are not married to Pinoys/Pinays (as second wives), they have an ancestor that married a Filipino.
A pure Filipino cannot follow or enter a chinese community. For one, unlike Filipinos, Chinese has some sort of exclusive communities. Further, we have a very different culture and religion. Hence, a pure Filipino kid will have difficulties in learning your language and writing if not practiced at home. Lastly, Chinese private schools in the Phil is relatively expensive. Philippines is composed of 3 regions, namely, Luzon (tagalong dialect), Visayas (Visayan dialect) and Mindanao (Ilocano and Muslim). But tagalong is our national language. I was born and raised in Manila (Luzon), the Capital of Phil.
Yes we love to watch your New Year Celebration since it’s so extravagant and it doesn’t conflict with the schedule of our own New Year Celebration. Last trivia, the way we celebrate our new year using fireworks and fire crackers were adopted from China.
Take care and hope to meet with you over coffee .

Hello Pinay Mom
I'm new in the area, well , I guess, not so new, but I've been to Dallas Galleria a lot since we moved last August, at palagi akong nakakakita ng pinay dun. Kanina lang pumunta naman kami sa Speedrace.. something at may dalawang couple filipinos dun, yung isang mag-asawa ay taga- Plano(hope hindi ikaw yun ) yung isa naman bandang downtown ng Dallas. Anyways, I gave them my contact number, I will let you know kapag kinontak nila ako. I live in Farmers Branch at malapit kami sa Galleria. Maybe we could meet sometimes. I was stay at home Mom for 4 yrs but will be starting to work part-time next week.
