In Houston, the Black gay men are flamin' and blatantly exhibit their cross-dressing and do an ass-sinine job in covering up their "masucline" features if you get my drift.

This whole DL thing is absolute garbage and the scope and scale to which it is hyped is due in large part to frustrated women needing to blame their own shortcomings in attracting a guy. Truth be told, gays have historically faced a lot of societal pressure forcing them to live a closeted life with some choosing to hide behind the facade of having a wife and kids. Fortunately this trend has remarkably died down in the past 20 years as society has come to grips with people's differences in sexual orientation.

But if the OP is really concerned about falling in the trap of a DL guy, then maybe she needs to detach her head from her arse while dating men and look for obvious signs that he isn't really into you rather than being oblivious and lying to yourself. Even moreso, start by looking in the mirror and re-evaluate yourself to accentuate your positive aspects and minimize your negative aspects.

The reason it is called the "down low" is because this lifestyle is totally secretive and only known to those in that secret little circle. So please don't insult the gay community, two totally different lifestyles. Being on the DL is a totally deceptive lifestyle especially to one's spouse or girlfriend.
Which is what "being in the closet" is all about. This rings of a distinction without a difference.

DL is the airline code for Delta.

Delta is headquartered in Atlanta. Delta started in Monroe, Louisiana. They flew 727's into Monroe long after other airlines switches to propellor planes. Delta used to have a hub at DFW but doesn't any more.

Yes I get what you are saying but again two different mindsets totally. A gay single male that has decided to not come out is not the same as a married man with a wife and kids living a lie by having sexual relations with someone of the same sex. The single gay man doesn't owe anyone anything about his sexual orientation such as friends, coworkers, etc. But the DL man with a wife owes her the truth about his other lifestyle.

exactly. and the difference is that closeted gay men have usually already accepted theyre gay, but they just haven't told anyone. down low men, on the other hand, are completely in denial about their sexuality

I see, thanks. It's been a long time since I had a dog in this hunt. That was the situation with my sister and her first husband 25+ years ago. It didn't get too far - divorced finalized within the year and no kids.
