Wow. I checked out the new and improved Sue Ellens in Dallas located on cedar springs road. It looks fantastic. It's brighter, cleaner, has cool art decor, and neat infrastructure. Upstairs is a small concert hall for live band performances and an outdoor balcony. Downstairs is the main dance floor and a bar.

If you are GLBTQ or of the liberal persuasion and like to party at nightclubs then check it out. I sure had a fun time.

Sue Ellen's is now what was TMC which was the exterior as you see it today. TMC closed down to become the renovated Sue Ellen's. TMC has re-opened in what was Sue Ellen's, with atmosphere intended to be more like what it had been before the renovations a coupla years ago.

TMC, before the renovation was a fairly special place but lost its ambience with the reno. Many of the old timers quit coming out after the reno but the Sunday nite dances were awesome after midnite.

I haven't been there in a good while but have a couple of friends who are part of the furniture, so to speak.

TMC was too dark and creepy right before it moved. How does it look now? What is the atmosphere there like these days.

OMG they used to play 70's, 80's, early 90's retro disco mixes and it was AWESOME!!! Not sure how it is or what they do now. You'd hear stuff from old Madonna like "Burnin up for Your Love" Whitney Houston, Suzanne Vega, all kinds of stuff. Also, on Saturday's they played some of the most banging deep, tribal house. I truly miss it. To be honest I don't like the new Sue's. Not just because it's different now and looks like a cheap knock off of S4, but just because the vibe to me is kinda weak there and when I went it was more empty than anytime it was the TMC. Just my opinion.

OMG! hubby and I have been looking for something like that a lot since we moved here! We've asked coworkers, friends, we've gone to several places, etc. and and nothing! Now the place is gone!

What kind of music can you hear there now?

Your co-workers and friends must not be familiar with the gayborhood Sunday night at TMC is "trash disco" night. It doesn't really get busy until after 11pm or so. Sometimes they have strippers (male). Across the street, The Roundup is normally C & W, but on Sunday nights I believe they also play disco and have the requisite strippers (male).

It is still the same. The new Sue Ellen's looks 100X better though.
