Default Pictures of Uptown / Downtown Dallas

Hello all,

Today was beautiful day in Dallas, approximately 60F, light wind, sunny and not a cloud in the sky - so I decided to take the liberty of snapping some pictures of where I live - Uptown and downtown Dallas.

http://picasaweb.google.com/texas.rsmith/Dallas?authkey=XgypM5-YiNM

A little about me:
I'm 25 years old, just moved to Dallas a week ago from Florida (go Gators!) I'm still in the process exploring the area, but I've found it VERY easy to find places and get around. I did a lot of research on these forums before moving, so I would like to help anyone else out that has questions on relocating. If you are young, single or not, you definitely want to check out the uptown/west village area!

Have you been on a Friday or Saturday night? It would be faster to count the hands of people who don't know about Uptown. The real estate prices sure seem to indicate the word is out.

Nice pictures though; it is a fun area.

Yup, I frequent the area at all times. I really like the West Village.. even though it can be hard to park there! I have relatives all over DFW and many dont know what Uptown is haha

No, it isn't always deserted. That was just late Sunday afternoon and there isn't much to do downtown at that time.

I like the pictures as well. A friend from high school lives there now I think.

Question though, do people walk in that neighborhood? Just surprising that even on a Sunday morning you don't see people walking around those townhomes/condos gong to breakfast or to a cafe.

Great pictures though!
