Default Property taxes - Live in City of Dallas but Collin County

Ok, I received a bill from Collin County. Are there any other property tax jurisdictions I owe taxes to?

Thanks,
Scott

Go to the Collin County Central Appraisal District site (Collin Search Page), search for your property (by name or address), and you will see a list of tax entities that apply to you, along with their tax rates

I did that. They only listed the taxing entities on my statement. So, I guess that is the only one I need to pay. I emailed my realtor to check with him too.

You are good to go. Collin County collects the taxes for themselves, CCCCD, (I'm guessing) Plano ISD, and the City of Dallas. They then distribute the money appropriately among the jurisdictions. Many hands, but only one bill.

Talked to my realtor. I also owe Dallas taxes being in City of Dallas. The Dallas tax records still showed the previous owner. That's why I didn't get a tax statement.

Actually, Collin County does not collect for City of Dallas. It's a separate tax statement. The Collin County tax statement had Collin County, Collin Co College and Plano ISD only.
