My fiance and I are looking for churches in the DFW area to get married in. We are looking for a smaller church with lots of character.

Are you wanting something that looks like a "traditional" church? If so Royal Lane Baptist might fit the bill as would Park Cities Baptist and then the other one I can think of is a small chapel over off of Northwest Hwy in the Bluffview area. If your not after the "traditional" look for the architecture then visit one of the local churches near you and see what they can do. Another option is some of the larger churches also have a smaller chapel area instead of the HUGE worship center to use for such occassions. The Heights Baptist in Richardson does and it was just recently done. FYI, if your not a member there will be a fee to use their facility. There is still usually a small fee for members but it is higher for non members.

Over at SMU in case you went there you have Perkins Chapel. The list to get in here is LONG!!! They can do up to something like 8-10 weddings in 1 day and you have to reserve it at least a year in advance. So you might have to settle for an early morning service. Up in Denton at Texas Woman's University there is The Little Chapel in the Woods. BEAUTIFUL!!! And pretty setting too. Very small though so if your not inviting 100+ guests it would work. It was too far for us back then and too small otherwise I would have done it in a heartbeat. TONS of character and detail.

Good luck and congrats
