Default Which Electric company is the best?

So today I took the time to call around for an apartment and found a really nice, inexpensive ones on Wood Meadows (75228) that meets my needs, That I will be going with.

Now in Cinti. We only have one company that services electric so I don't know anything about cost per watts etc.. and it is to my understanding, Texas has a few companies to select from. Which company has the best rates? I will be renting a one bedroom. TIA

MODERATOR NOTE: If you are recommending yourself or anyone you are associated with, or if you have less than 10 posts already, do so by Direct Message (DM) to the OP only; otherwise, your post WILL be deleted.

Per ToS, recommendations are allowed for posters that have at least 10 posts only. One cannot recommend himself/herself. The only area where recommendations are not permitted is real estate, however general responses, such as "we have many helpful and knowledgeable real estate agents on this forum - just DM them" are fine.

Here: Compare Offers

I suggest that you consider Startex Power: StarTex Power

The Power To Choose site, posted by kootr, is absolutely the best resource available to help Texas consumers select a power provider.

I'm surprised, though, that your apartment complex offers a choice. That's the exception, rather than the norm.

When all is said and done, it's not much different from picking a cable, internet, or cellphone provider. Take advantage of any specials, be sure you read the fine print associated with them, and don't sign up for anything that'll lock you in for too long because you want to keep flexibility to change providers should you see a better deal from another one.

The one HUGE difference is that the power itself is all delivered and maintained by the same electric company, no matter which middleman you go with. So there's no more or less reliability to worry about. It's all about the rates, contracts, billing arrangments, and about how they treat you when you call them.

I use Kinetic energy. You have to use a credit card, and it's drawn automatically every month, but they have been fantastic. It comes to about 9.5 cents/kwh
