A little help needed please. What restaurants downtown Dallas offer the best high views of the city? Got an anniversary coming up and want to do it right, just moved here. Thanks in advance.

One that comes to mind is the restaurant opened by Wolfgang Puck in the Reunion Tower. It JUST opened back up last night so you're in luck. The restaurant used to be called Antares. While the setting was nice the food was definitely lacking. The newly remodeled restaurant is supposed to be great so maybe you could report back to us? BTW, the restaurant sits in a ball that rotates so you can get 360 degree views.

The one in reunion tower. They just remodeled it. Ran by Wolfgang Puck (some famous TV chef).
And you agre guaranteed to have the best view in the city.

Ditto on Wolfgang Puck's new 560 restaurant. However, they are having a soft opening with limited reservation availability for the near term. They plan to have a full scale opening by mid February. See article: Wolfgang Puck opening restaurant atop Reunion Tower in Dallas on Thursday | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News | Dallas Business News (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/012009dnbuspuck.3e621f3.html - broken link)

If you can't get a reservation or if you don't want to go to a restaurant that just opened and might
be working out the kinks, then another option would be Nana Grill at the Hilton Anatole. While it is not actually in downtown, it is only about 2 miles north and has spectacular views. Great food and service as well. Nana Restaurant Fine Dining in Dallas Texas

I'll have to also agree that the new restaurant w/ Wolfgang Puck would be a good choice for a great view. THEN, head over to the Belmount for drinks and a REALLY GREAT view of the city while your standing on the ground.

IIRC there's also a restaurant on top of the Adam's Mark hotel, if that hotel still exists (been a couple years since I've frequented downtown big D). The Anatole is a great suggestion for getting to see the totality of downtown; however, you won't feel like you're "among" the buildings.

That's the Chaparral Club that you are referring to. Unfortunately, that restaurant closed last year. The name of the hotel also changed from Adam's Mark to the Sheraton.

Nana Grill would be my choice for a reliable excellent meal.

A newly (is it open yet?) opened restuarant would not be my choice.

The bar at the Belmont is excellent too.

Hey Fisher...what's up??? Send me a message and tell me how it's going in Deep Ellum.
