(Eddie's) Napoli Restaurant on Centerville Rd./Northwest Highway in Garland. The Chicken Carcioffi is the best I've ever eaten. Eddie also owns a sports bar on Centerville a little ways to the east of there near Duck Creek. Go on Wednesday night and have the best wings you'll ever try, and watch Karaoke. You'll see some different types in there and it's all entertaining. Kids are welcome before 9 p.m.

How about some South Dallas places such as BlackJack Pizza (go for the cheeseburgers) on MLK and Henderson Chicken (yep the legendary one) on Grand? While there tour Park Row and South Blvd. - the "Swiss Ave" of South Dallas.

There is a great Burger on Harry Hines just south of Forest and if I am remembering correctly it is actually called The Hole in the Wall. Isn't that the name of it?

This place is not in Dallas, but definately worth mentioning...in Bonham there is a yummy place called Cappy's. It is the best mom and pop restaraunt I have ever eaten at. Homecooked, buffet style, good old southern cooking that melts in your mouth.
Thought this would be helpful for those of you who want to roadtrip on a weekend. I passed through there once while driving north. Definately worth the drive

Coming from the Midwest / SE MI area we had tons of Coney Island restaurants. These types of establishments not only had coney dogs but they had tons of other items as well. Gyros, good soups, chili mac, breakfast all day long etc. Can't seem to find any here. Doesn't seem to be as many Deli's or places where you can buy real fresh baked bread either. Not the doughy kind but the kind that comes fresh out of the oven and as a nice hearty crust on it. PS I've been to Cindi's NY Deli in Richardson and love it.
Yours in hunger,

catluvr - I was just in Bonham and Windom for a funeral and would have loved to have known about that place (we missed the funeral food as we had to do a 'cemetery tour' in Paris and Honey Grove to place some flowers). We were looking for the little hamburger place in Bells, but we couldn't find it - is it gone?
