I am looking for a school for my daughter aged three in the Plano ISD area. I have heard good things about Beaty school.

I live in zipcode 75287 and I have been told that this address does not come in Plano ISD. Would someone know how to find out apartment complexes would come under the Plano ISD area, other than calling the Apartment complex up??

any insights or suggestions to help us plan ahead are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at the Plano website. They have a map of attendance zones.
District Maps : Plano ISD

Beaty is a preschool only and unless you qualify under special needs or some other way, you pay tuition for it. I've heard it's great.

Early Childhood Programs : Plano ISD

The parts of 75287 that are in Collin County are all in the Plano ISD. Those sections in Denton County are not.

From the PISD web site about Beaty:

Quote:
Students may enroll under three different criteria: 1) Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten, OR, one of the following two state and federal programs: 2) Prekindergarten, OR 3) Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD).

Students are eligible for the state funded prekindergarten program if they are limited-English speaking, homeless, from families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, or military dependents. Students must be 4 years of age by September 1st of the current school year.

Students may attend the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities if they are eligible for special education services. Eligibility is determined after assessment by the Preschool Evaluation Team located at Beaty. Children are eligible for services on their third birthday.

Many thanks for your replies. I truly appreciate it.
Would you know:

What is the tution fee for supported Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten??
Can the child's house address be anywhere in the area served by the "Plano West Senior High Feeder Schools" to be able to enroll in a specific school??

You can live anywhere in PISD and attend Beaty.

Once you get to kindergarten, you'd have to file a transfer request to attend any school other than the one you're zoned to. (Probably Mitchell Elementary for the area you're looking at.)
