Default Anyone from Cleveland, OH move to Dallas area?

Just wondering to see what the major changes (besides the weather) would be? Do you like Dallas better? Why? Did you like Cleveland better? Why?
I've never been to Dallas but most likely will be moving there soon....
Thanks

I grew up in NE Ohio from 1963 to 1980 and moved to the Dallas area in 1990. Since it has been so long since I spent a lot of time in NE Ohio, it may be impossible for me to give you a good answer, but I will try. For the record, I like the Dallas area better than the NE Ohio area.

Growth, it seems that Dallas and the surrounding area continue to grow and build. It may slow down some due to economy, but it really goes when there is a boom. I believe that with this growth, there are more opportunities for employment. I believe this is the major difference.

Traffic, it has been awhile since I drove in the Cleveland area, but I can't imagine it having traffic as bad as the Dallas area. It seems that everyone here is in a hurry to get somewhere, no matter how many near-accidents occur.

Hispanic influence, the NE Ohio area had a lot of old European-Mediterranean influence, the Dallas area has a lot of Hispanic influence.

There are similarities (museums, professional sports) that if you like in Cleveland, you should enjoy here.

Over all, I miss NE Ohio for the memories, family and friends, but I have no plans to move back. Ever.

Are you ending up moving to Dallas? My mom is in Cleveland currently closing up my grandmother's apartment (she passed away) and would like to co-op with someone else moving to split costs of bringing stuff back to dallas...
