Addison to Ft. Worth for work? New Yorker wants to know
I recently re-located to Dallas from New York and have been offered a job in downtown Ft. Worth. Currently, I live in Addison Circle but don't drive (New Yorker syndrome).
How easy is it to get to Ft. Worth on the bus or train? Or is there a carpool service that anyone knows of? The job's a great offer and with these tough times, I don't know how long I can stay home and rely on my sister...
Thanks for the help.

Trinity Railway Express (TRE)
I think you are going to have to move near one of these stations or near one of the new DART line stations which will open in a few months which can link you to the TRE.

Thanks all. So technically, all, I have to do is live close to a TRE station and should be okay?
Assuming I can hack getting up at 4 am for a least a month, I should be able to move to Ft. Worth once I'm settled into the job (then learn how to drive at 34!)
But is it that long of a train ride from the Union Station downtown?

So you would take DART to Union Station in downtown Dallas and then the TRE to downtown Ft Worth. What, your gonna get home in time to grab a snack, shower, get dressed and start all over again. NO WAY!

The Addison express bus leaves from the Addison transit center. This is part of DART. I think it's near you at Addison Circle.

Yes it is. I'll try the route tomorrow just to test it, before I say yes to the job.
