Default commuting time

Hi guys am back again for some help. I was wondering how is the traffic comming from South Garland to Frisco in the am and pm. I am taking up a job up in Frisco and will be living in South Garland close to Amber University.

My wife will be working in Downtown Dallas so being situated in South Garland makes it an easy commute for her.

Don't mind a 30 - 40 minute commute as long as there is not that much traffic I do it up here in Mass four times a week. Thanks guys.

You would have two options.

1. Take 635-LBJ west to the Dallas North Tollway and head north on the DNT all the way to Frisco.

2. Take 635-LBJ west to 75-Central North to 190 (aka George Bush Turnpike) and go west to the Dallas North Tollway North into Frisco.

I'd probably see how #1 works out and then if there is a major tie-up that route you always have the option of the second or some of the side streets. As for the time I'd say an hour or less on good days.

That is a very long drive. Anytime of day regardless of traffic that is going to be roughly an hour drive minimum.

Highway 635 always has one problem or another. If its not accidents-which it almost always is- its some kind of construction. In other words, 635 always has traffic anytime of day.

That right there will make the commute tedious. Driving through Frisco can also be difficult. There is heavy traffic in that city and many long stop lights.

Have you considered moving to the north side of Dallas? The commute from anywhere on the north side to Downtown is pretty quick, roughly 15-20 minutes- and Frisco would only be 10 minutes away.

Given, driving into downtown from the north side in the am and back in the pm would mean stop and go traffic. But going up to Frisco would be a breeze.
