I bought a couple of recliners there, and talked to them a little about their pricing policies. We didn't get real deep because of my purchase being an advertised killer deal, but they seemed pretty firm unless it's a discontinued-out of the box-scratched situation.

like rooms to go, they don't negotiate. At least that's waht we were told when we bought rugs from them. We tried but they wouldn't budge. But based on our resrach we got a great deal anyway.

If you can find it the same price or lower some where else, maybe you could use that as leverage for them to get the sale. We were looking for a bedroom suite a few years ago and found a good price at a NC outlet, but it would have taken atleast 6 weeks for it to be delivered. I printed out the quote and brought it to a furniture store that had the same suite in stock, and they matched the price of the NC outlet.

a furniture store but not the Dump...
I don't think they deal--they says their prices are already deeply discounted--I just think you have to know what you are buying--some of their stuff is over hyped and not that good a deal...

I have been to the Dump a couple of times and found them to be hit and miss. I did buy some leather recliners that were cheaper there than any other place I found. I simply don't expect to hit a home run everytime I go there.

I went to "The Dump" once, showed up early with everyone else waited for the doors to open. Every rushed in we walked through in like five mins. And when we were walking out there was more people walking out with us then going in. It's rip off to drive all the way out there and see the prices. Get the maker of the item you like and look again online. I do that with every furniture item and I usually can find it. Sometimes cheaper sometimes not. I like Ashley's just make sure you look at your quality before you purchase, every furniture store has cheap-expensive quality. Ashley's will bargin with you.

It is hard for me to imagine buying anything from a store called the dump! Weirs has a clearance and more area in all stores that has GREAT prices. SHop with a store you can count on and that stands behind their stuff.
