Default Forest Lane Cruising in the 70's & early 80's

Does anyone have any pictures they can share of the north
Dallas Forest Lane teenage cruising era from the 1970's-1980's?

Any pictures of the Forest Lane wall or cruising?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any pictures, but the wall is still there. :-)

The only pictures I have of that are in my memory. It was such a fun time. My oldest child asked me why there were "No U-Turn" signs in different places recently. I thought back about when the city came out and put them up along Forest, Midway and Marsh to discourage cruising. Such innocent times back then.

My sister was here visiting and we went up to Sam Moon's by way of Forest and Tupinamba Tex-Mex restaurant. We had to acknowledge 'the wall' - it was painted by one of our rival high schools as part of a Bicentennial project.

Even though I had the muscle car back then, I think my little sister spent more time up there!

No Pictures, but we used to do Burn-Outs in the FedMart lot and Turner and TJ fights at Jack in the Box.

The wall is about a block from my house--it gets repained regularly, I believe, but the images themselves haven't particularly aged well.

That's way past my time, though. The closest we got to that was hanging out in the Sonic parkin lot across the street from Jesuit.

Okay, help out a relatively new Dallasite: what and where is this "wall" you are speaking of?

Forest Lane between Midway Lane and Inwood Road (it's right by my house but I can't remember the exact streets it stretches between) in North Dallas, there is a long brick wall that is vividly painted with fairly psychadelic images which was painted by the graduating class of 1976 of (I believe) WT White HS (maybe it was TJ).

The wall is still there and still gets repainted on occasion. It lines the road that the kids used to cruise down in the 70s and 80s. It's mostly got a nostalgia factor now.

Awesome - I love little pieces of nostalgia like that.

And there WAS no Sonic there back in my day! All we in that area across from Jesuit was a Taco Bueno.
