I don't know if it has anything to do with bigotry, but it seems to have a lot to do with someone having a power trip. He'd probably do that to anyone. I'd like to know when they are going to start training cops to relax when someone is in a hurry due to an emergency situation. I know an APD officer who says he wouldn't do that to someone. He'd let them take care of the emergency first and if totally necessary, the ticket could be secondary. I think that Chief is right, they need to hire people with more common sense and people skills.

I get really angry when I see these types of abuses because, as a mother of a kid who is asthmatic, I'm sure I'd be ready to kick some cops a** if they held me up from getting her to an emergency room if she was having a severe attack. In the 4 yrs. she's been diagnosed with it, she did have a severe one that had her in the hospital for 3 days. On the way to the hospital, my husband drove 20 miles over the speed limit. I guess I should count my blessings there were no cops patrolling the back roads that night because I would not have been that nice to one had that happened to me.

Very sad story indeed. I was under the impression the Super Trooper would perform an escort in a situation like this.

BTW- if this were a common man, would the police chief apologize like he did or just brush it off? Hmm...

(Also no surprise the race card was pulled.)

This kind of inhuman pig behavior has been going on for a long time.
Fortunately more and more peons are carrying video cameras and we peasants are catching the street thugs with badges breaking the same very silly little laws they jamb down our throats more and more often. In court it is the peasant's word against the mighty law, and the pigs word against ours. Society seems to have accepted that once they put that badge on that they can no longer lie. They are in fact bigger liars then Politicians.

I guess this little piggy failed his cultural sensitivity class in the pig academy. So why is he on the streets of California where there are all kinds and all colors of people? So Dallas has apologized to its peasants. BiiiiiiiiiiiiiiG deal! Now what? Just wait a little bit till the heightened awareness of bad behavior blows over and the peons with short memories forget?

Does anyone remember a simular case last month where a young couple was rushing their beloved pet to the Vet and the pig refused to let them drive on while watched the little dog die? Just this week a Conroe, Tx street thug with a badge who happens to also be a Sergeant was nabbed for robbing banks. How many beatings have we witnessed on the news? Is anyone else fed up with the behavior of these members of the worlds largest street gang? Domestic terrorists is pretty accurate too.

How about the now famous story of pigs in Tenaha, Tx who are stopping black people and robbing them? ABC TV covered this story yet it still continues.

This is making me sick so before my languge becomes unexceptable I will shut up.

Escort to where? He finally stopped at the hospital? He admitted the violation and didn't stop when told to stop by use of the emergency lighting. Insensitive, yes. No violation of departmental policy unless it is there policy not to stop violators in the first place.

If the relative was that sick, why not be at the hospital instead of rushing the last minute. He was held 13 minutes, her daughter was not held at all.

And no one was being rushed due to a medical problem. No treatment was being withheld. Play the race card???? Show me how at almost 2am he could see the race of the driver inside the vehicle. Another press inducted news feature.

Either you are a cop or the most judgmental person on the face of the earth. The pig was wrong. This is not my opinion or anyone elses. It is a fact! Would it be proper to wish this on you just to see if you react as your post suggests while your loved one is dying???

Illegal detainment, possibly violation of civil rights. I'm sure Dallas will settle, though, and there will be no court trail.
