I checked the article, and looked for numbers on metro areas. It seperated Dallas and "Fort Worth".

That is unfortunate, because Fort Worth, or whatever they mean by that, is not an independent economic unit. Any portion of the DFW area will be dependent on the rest of the area.

For example, 30% (at least) of the Tarrant county workforce is employed in Dallas, Denton or Collin counties. If they mean Tarrant county by "Fort Worth", then employment figures for what they call Fort Worth are a reflection of the Dallas economy, not the health of the Tarrant county economy.

So their figures are corrupt, at least for the DFW area.
