Default IT contract postions in/around Plano/Richardson

Hi,

I know the economy is bad, but need to ask. I am looking for contract positions in IT field(Java, C, C++) around Plano / Richardson area. Any suggestions or contacts.

I have been on the numerous search engines, but just applying from the search engine does not get any response. So, am hoping to get tips/suggestions from all.

Thanks

I'm getting contacted, but no interviews. Strangely, I've been mainly doing Java & SQL for the past several years ... and the recruiters are mainly contacting me about C# positions. Last time I was doing regular MS development was 1999. I think it would really help if the people doing the staffing had a bit more knowledge about the field.

Thank you for response. I have tried applying via search engines and get no response. It just seems that applications go into never land. am wondering if it is the location(dallas) or just the wrong search engine or ?
