Default U-pick farms around Dallas

I have found some u-pick farms in the area over the internet. Has anyone actually been to u-pick farms here? If so, I would appreciate if you can suggest a few within 50-100 miles of DFW? We would like to get fruits and vegetables since they would be fresh in this season but also enjoy the recreational aspects for children. We have been to u-pick farms in 2 other states before but I don't know what to expect there because DFW is a much bigger metroplex than the towns we lived earlier.

Blueberry Hill Farms Edom Texas We try to enjoy a trip to Edom to pick blueberries once a year. While there don't miss having lunch at The Shed. Awesome cheeseburgers and incredible pies.

Ham Orchard opens May 15th. It's just east of Terrell. I have bought a lot of produce from them, after it was picked. Some of the produce is brought in from other local growers. Check the web-site for more info.

They have delicious fried pies, fudge, jellies, jams, relish, and make sure you have an ice cream cone while you are there. They also sell pre-made peach cobbler to cook at home that is amazing!!

We do this every year and eat at The Shed.

Another place is gnismer.com - they have organic strawberries right now - U pick. But be sure to check days/hours as they change throughout the growing season.
After strawberries, they have 2 varieties of blackberries.
Located in Dalworthington Garden/Arlington.

Ham's is not U pick. But they do have wonderful apricots if you can get to them...they only have them for a few weeks in the beginning of summer.

At Christmas time - Wall's Family Tree Farm has U-pick/cut Xmas trees. They are in Terrell.
