For those of you who don't know, I am a student at SMU, and I know a lot of the players on the football team. One of our coaches, Frank Gansz, was a legendary special teams coach in the NFL and came out of retirement to help coach at SMU. People may question the win-loss results of our coaching staff, but no one has questioned that Coach Gansz has molded the young men on our team into better individuals.

Coach Gansz is currently in the hospital - he had a knee replacement surgery and is having severe complications. Here's a story about Coach Gansz's condition:

Here's a great story about Coach Gansz, the person, and why he is more than just a football coach: Honolulu Star-Bulletin Sports - Sidelines

Please keep Coach Gansz in your prayers. Coach June Jones has posted on his Twitter page that "we need a miracle."
