Where do I find bakery cookies?
I would like to find the "old fashioned" kind of bakery cookies that you used to get a bakery. I"m referring to the small, pretty cookies...the one that had the cherry in the center, the green leaf sandwich cookies, etc. You'd go to the bakery, and point out the types you wanted and they'd place it in a white box and tie a string around it. Is there anyplace like this in Dallas...prefer North Dallas, Plano or Richardson area?

I am in the Midcities--Hurst/Bedford/colleyville--there are tons of individual bakeries around here that make cookies/lemon bars/baked goods as well as do wedding cakes and birthday/party cakes for order...
go to google maps--put in your address and then search for bakeries...

Steins Bakery is a Dallas staple and has been in business for years. They're at the SW corner of Preston and LBJ in North Dallas.
Ashton's is another staple, located on Lovers Lane, just East of The Tollroad.

A client of mine works for Nestle Cafe. There's one at the Stone Briar Mall in Frisco and others around town. I just think it's more fun to bake my own. Just Google Nestle Cafe.
I found these:
Addison Walk

Dallas Galleria Mall

Stonebriar Centre

Try Cakes Amore at northwest corner of Spring Creek and 75 Central in Plano. Or, try the new Market Street in Allen. Good luck!
