I am looking for a good doctor in the Oak Cliff area. If you have any recommendation please reply. Someone who will listen, is compacionate and who has treated people with gastrointestinal problems and know about H. pylori. Also, if anyone has been diagnosed with H. pylori if you could tell me how long it took for you to recuperate. I was diagnosed and treated, it has been almost a year and the main complaint that I have is that I have difficulty swallowing my current doctor just prescribed pantoprazole and the follow ups are basically you are doing good be patient and I am just about getting ready to scream.

Default Dr. Paul Fenyves

I just saw Dr. Paul Fenyves, who seems to be relatively new to the area -- which is good, because I was able to get in to see him that same day. I had a great experience with Dr. Fenyves -- he was easy to talk to and had a great bedside manner. He's located at the Methodist Clinic on Bishop: 214-941-1353

I was treated for H. Pylori about 5 yrs ago, 4 different antibiotics, 4 x day for 2 weeks. After 1 week, I woke up and realized it was gone, as the cramping, aching feeling in my stomach was gone. I still took the rest of the pills, however. I never had any throat symptoms and don't know why you should. Sorry.

I have definitely heard of people having sore throat and coughing from H.pylori. I did the treatment, and it was hard to take, but I think effective.
