Re:
In those ZIP codes, it's going to vary by development, and even by street. They should all be OK, but some will be nicer than others.

Thanks for the info,
We are not very familar with the area, our realtor recommend Park Blvd Estates subdiv in 75075, somewhere between W Parker & W 15th street, a 2000 sq ft 4BR property costs around 180K, quite attactive for our budget, ES is Davis, MS is Haggard.
We did some research in the net & it seems ok, we would like to know more from all of you local experts, see if the area is safe & good to raise a mid income family.
Thanks very much.

I live in 75075 near Parker and Mission Ridge. Lovely area. I've lived in San Francisco, London, and grew up and lived for 30+ years in San Diego, and I am loving it here. Safe, clean, tons of beautiful trees and landscaping, mostly 25 year old custom homes. I don't have kids so don't have a clue about schools.
We've been here for about 1 1/2 years and are really glad we chose to live here. Lots of shopping all over the place, excellent grocery stores, and cost of living is incredible compared to Southern California, that's for sure. I've heard talk about Plano being conservative and snobby, and besides seeing a bunch of churches around, I haven't noticed either. My neighbors have been nothing but welcoming and friendly.

75075 is definitely much cheaper than 75024. 75024 has better schools.

Just wondering... do we have stats for school quality by zip code? Frankly, I never heard of that.
Same with cost of living. We don't have a zip code by zip code breakdown. It's actually a pretty weird concept, as if the same brand of toothpaste was more expensive when you cross a zip code boundary. You'd think that all stores would have the same prices, since it's so easy to drive to another zip for shopping.
Same with neighborhoods. The neighborhoods in a particular zip code are not uniform in quality, such that the best 75075 neighborhood is below the standards of each and every 75024 neighborhood.
If you don't know by now, I like to mock silly questions. Mockery may be the best way to motivate people to become more analytical.

First, Thanks for all your info, it is very helpful.
Aceplace, I fully undertand your points, We keep hearing Plano is so big that one area could be very different from other and our property agent suggested properties in those zips. At the moment we are doing some initial research and want to get some general ideas about living in those area. We know for the final decision we need to pin point down to street addresses to compare schools, property costs & tax, neighborhood, ...etc. Analysis could have different approaches but apperciated your comments, thanks.
