Let's not get all sensitive, when people tell the truth, cathy is right. This is a joke, its funny because people are really replying like dallas has a beach. I don't think anyone is being negative, its just the simple truth a lake beach come on that just trying to hard. Thank God I live close to an ocean!!!

I KNOW that natural beaches are replenished--Texas beaches certainly are. But modifying a natural beach such as at Galveston, Corpus, Padre Island, Port Aransas, et al....is quite different from making one up out of whole cloth (or sand, as the case may be)....

I've visited a number of beautiful beaches in the Caribbean that were 100% man made. Florida too.

I've heard of a couple of man-made beaches in NM, but I do believe that I'll pass....

I'm not a beach person, anyway. I just visit the Texas coast about once every 10-15 years for some good seafood! There is nothing like fresh seafood that has been brought in from the docks that morning.

Never had fresh Maryland crab, but Texas crab and Texas Gulf prawns are wonderful, too!

I've been look looking fro prawns where can I get good sized prawns from? I would love to put some on the pit
