I am planning on relocating to the Plano area. I'm looking for information on schools, hospitals and surrounding areas. My price range is up to mid 400s. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

The schools are excellent up there. The surrounding area has a lot of family things like supermarkets and restaurants, but it isn't really an entertainment hotspot. There are lots of nice homes in that area. You also might want to look at Richardson, which is just south, or Frisco, which is just north.

As for the hospitals, there are several in the area, but I don't know anything in particular.

Default Whiffletree

We live in the Whiffletree development., which is in your price range. We love living in Central Plano.

What grades are your kids in? Are you seeking info on hospitals for employment or treatment? Plano is a very nice town to live in with lots of shopping, dining.

Plano is a good area. You might also look into Allen, which isn't too far from Plano. There is Medical Center of Plano, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, and Presbyterian Hospital of Allen. Both have good school districts.

My price range is up to the mid 400s. Although I would prefer to spend a lot less if I can find what I need. My daughter will be 4 and still in pre-school next fall. She attends the Goddard here and i would like her to continue in that school system until she starts K in the fall of 2010.

I just want to make sure hospitals and emergency care is near by if we should ever need it.

Why just Plano? Did you get a job there?

Plano has 4 hospitals - Medical Center, Presbyterian, Baylor and Children's. You can also pay tuition and attend preschool in Plano public schools, which is not common in other Dallas suburbs. I think there is a Goddard school in Frisco.
