I've anticipated this opening since we lived in TX in 2005...my MIL tells me it's quite nice. Anyone have any pictures of the completed project? Is there a river walk there or am I mis-informed?

Thanks

LOL!!!! I said back in 1992 that it would never happen when we lived real close to it. I live close to it now just on the other side of 78. The pics I took in that other thread are a little old now and it has grown since then and really gotten vibrant. I took those pics early one morning after I dropped the kids off at school so that I could stop and take a pic w/o someone getting mad that I was holding up traffic . If you go there ANYTIME it is open it is PACKED. The new apartments/townhomes that are within the area are now open and pretty full. You always see people that live there walking in the area and walking their dogs. The new restaurants w/ patio dining are ALWAYS packed if the weather is nice. Patio seating usually has a LONG wait. I can't wait for the new Ghengis Grill to open

No riverwalk but there is a HUGE fountain in the park area.

During the month of December they do fireworks every Saturday night and also have musicians strolling around playing and singing. The annual Garland Star Spangled Fourth is now held at the mall (I liked it downtown better).

When that google maps street view first came out the first place I checked out was Firewheel Town Center. To make sure my car was not spotted there
