I want to go. Can't find an Opera buddy. Sommeone told me to find one on Craig's list ! Probably go by myself. Once my family is out in June, it will be hard to go. Madame Butterfly is like the most watched Opera in America (it's what the Nutcracker is to ballet), so I need to go check it out. How is the drive out to Forth Worth from Plano, an Hour ?

Depending on the time of day, the day, and of course any other events, an hour is about right. I'd leave at least an hour and a half to two hours early, I'd rather get there and be parked sitting in a coffee house or cafe, than sitting on 183.

I *think* Wicked is showing in Dallas now? Definitely a MUST SEE! I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway and took my dd to see it last year when tour production was in Tampa. I know the music by heart!

I lost grandma when I moved out here :-(

Now I know nobody except for a group of people online I've never seen (you guys), My Realtor, and a bunch of people related to work. I typically don't like to hang out on a personal basis with work people outside of work.

Can I put one of you guys as my emergency contact :-)

Emergency Contact = Momof2DFW or GoPadge or Gulf Driver.....people will be like "what is this"...sad, I know.

I can just imagine that series of phone calls.... Both from the hospital and to your family.

Actually...I definately know how you feel! I just had to take my Mom into emergency surgery this morning. Hubby was out of town on business, Dad passed away a few years ago and I had to take my 3yr old to sit in the waiting room!

Thank God for portable DVD players!!

As a note, Mom is doing well but she was really worried since was the first big thing she has had to go through without my Dad
