He said specifically that the law in the state of Texas is to use security panels that call the company only if the alarm has been going for at least 30 seconds. So until the first 30 seconds pass the box does not call the security system.

definately not. I have tripped the alarm several times and shut it off immediately and ALWAYS get a call about 2 minutes later checking on me.

Default Alarm cp01

Texas passed a law that alarm had to start installing alarm panel with cp 01 panel which has a 30 second dialer delay to reduce false alarms. any other info look up cp o1 alarm panels.

The best thing you can do is buy a dog and a shot gun. No one will come in because of the dog and if they do you will be alerted by the dog and you have time to grab your gun.

Smile We had problems with ADT straight of the bat...

We cancelled within 24hrs of signing up with them-they had already billed our C/card twice and it took over 4 months to get our money back-despite they are required to refund in 14 days (i think that's the law) -We had to threaten to report them and finally complaining to our realtor who was recommending them to other clients whom we all knew through various connections..suffice to say once she got involved the money was refunded in 24hrs. Get a dog! We have 4!
