I am thinking to take a job at Presby Dallas hospital, but I am going to live in Plano or south Frisco. Is this too far to commute? Is Presby Dallas close to ghetto areas? Thank you for your suggestions.

Presby Dallas is on Walnut Hill between 75-Central and Greenville. Across the street are office buildings. The entire block on the south side of Walunt Hill is nothing but medical buildings related to the hospital for the most part. It is not far from NorthPark Mall. The area is not ghetto at all.

As for the commute.......... I'd stay as close to 75 as possible in Plano if you HAD to live up that way. If not then the Lake Highlands area is a great area and SUPER CLOSE by that is great for families. The commute would be nothing. You'd be close enough to go home for lunch. If your single then check out The Village apartments.

I agree - you'd want to live along 75, not the Tollway. I wouldn't consider Frisco. If you want new construction, go with Allen, Murphy, or far east Plano.

Also DART rail runs right by Presby so Plano would be better if you must live that far north.

Considering DART and the close proximity to Presby and 75, Richardson would also be a good choice.

Thank you for all good suggestions! Texans are nice. If I drive along 75, how many minutes it may take if I take DART from downtown Plano? If I drive, how many minutes it gonna be.

Depends on the time of day, road construction, accidents, etc. In NORMAL conditions the drive is not bad at all. Even in rush hour it pokes along and is doable but sometimes frustrating. Still TONS better than trying to commute to Presby from Frisco. If your commuting during non rush hour I'd just drive it and forget DART.

I go to work around 6.a.m, I don't think I will meet the rush hour. Is 30 minute enough to drive from Plano (west Plano) to Presby Dallas? Thank you.

If your close to 75 then 30 minutes should be PLENTY of time. Unless there is something going on that makes it bad for everyone.

You specified west Plano, so I would add at least 15 minutes to mom's estimate. I live in central Plano (Legacy/Independence) and it takes me about 10 minute to get to 75. Depending on where in West Plano you are considering I might take the DNT to Bush to 75.
