Default Any commuters ~ Lewisville area? to Fort Worth ?

So, I finally arrived in Dallas, Lewisville to be specific
Been here a couple of months.. So far, so good
Like the people....renting a cool house.

I moved to Lewisville for the easy commute to my great new job,
but it turns out the great job new is/was DOA

So I am now looking for a new great gig with a reasonable commute.
from Lewisville. As a NY chick I have no idea what areas to consider
as far as drive time. I am currently located near Exit 452 I35E

I am definitely NOT a morning person.
Would be cool if I could keep morning drive time under 45 minutes.
Under a half hour would be spectacular.

Got a tentative offer in Fort Worth, mapquest states 40 minutes, but
of course that would be during optimum traffic conditions ??

Would appreciate any assistance on areas I should consider for work.
Thanks in advance for any assists out there.

)

I don't know what a commute from Lewisville to Fort Worth would be, but have you considered moving to Fort Worth? I love Fort Worth and would live there in a second.

She's probably locked into a year lease. Otherwise, I'd agree with you that she should move.

Absolutely correct about the lease situation.
Also, this is the 2nd interstate move within the last 18 months for me

As you can imagine, I am not anxious to pack again so soon )

Thanks for the advice on Fort Worth though.

Yes, that 40 minute estimate is based on no traffic!

I drive from Grapevine to downtown Fort Worth every day. The drive time is usually 30 minutes, unless there is a wreck or rain. The big difference from Lewisville will be going down 121 through the "funnel" north of DFW airport. That can be BAD...add at least 15-25 minutes depending on traffic!

Still, it IS do-able. Just how long can you put up with it until your lease is over?! ;-)
