Default Discount Prescription Cards

I do a lot of volunteer work and came across this and thought I would pass it on .... Collin County and Dallas County have a discount prescription card. The card can be used on medications not coverd by insurance or medicare as well as people that don't have health insurance or prescription plans. By using the card, you will get a discount on your meds which can equal up to 20%. If you can utilize mail order for your three months supply of medications, the savings can be up to 50%. The Dallas county card can also be used for pet meds.

Here's a link to look at and get more specifics and contact info:

Collin County:
The free discount card is offered through a joint effort between Collin County government and the National Association of Counties, with no strings attached or gimmicks. No telemarketing, no spam, no sales pitches, forms, enrollment or extra fees — and its accepted by 8 out of 10 retail pharmacies nationwide. That includes most major pharmacy chains in this region.

Dallas County:
The NACo prescription discount card offers significant savings for the uninsured and underinsured residents of our county, and even those fortunate to have prescription coverage can use the card to save money on drugs that are not covered by their health plan. Residents do not have to be Medicare beneficiaries to be eligible for this program.

I haven't had to mess around with cards since Walmart pharmacy offers the generic for $4. As a Realtor "meaning self employed" I used to spend hundreds a month on prescriptions. The Walmart pharmacy program has been a blessing.

I guess as long as I take prescriptions that have a generic... I'm safe.

Default Still plugging along

Thank you for the prescription discount card information. This will help me
as I am unemployed and also help my daughter and my 10 month grand daughter. Any other information would be greatly appreciated!
