Dallas Tea Party.......July 4
This volunteer group pulled off a great event last night - the largest of it's kind in the nation .....great speakers, non-partisan sincere discussions, good entertainment - 30-35,000 good folks gathered and worked together til midnight. You can see video clips at

It's too bad that the local media are not giving this grassroots movement more attention......

I saw this on the local news. I thought it was the coolest thing. How come we only find out about these things after they're over or about to be over? I guess I should get out more...

They gave it plenty of attention in April...Time to walk on your own two feet now.
And stop blaming the media for everything that doesn't bloom in your political World.

Ah, the Donks continue to dwell in fear that the media will recognize any phenomena other than the Chicago hootie boy.
Glad to see Dallas at the front of the pack in political reform intent.

It is truly a shame that the media is more concerned about how many people are gong to show up at the MJ memorial in LA on Tuesday than covering the tens of thousands who came out for tea parties all over the country......

The OP describes "non-partisan, sincere discussions..."
And Padcrasher disses that "Political World." No fun having a conversation when you can just be dismissive, innit?
Clearly, the Liberal Media has worked very hard to politicize these events, and then shun them. Discourse and dialogue are only allowed intra-party, it would seem.
Congrats on a great event. I hope they continue, and are attended by ALL sides.

oh-no.
As far as I'm concerned, Tea Parties are just anti-Obama, anti-President affairs. More in line with the Texas seceding and not wishing to be a part of our great country.
C'mon folks...even more disconcerting is hoping there was balance on this, and I'm the first post calling it for what it is.

So you're against Texas "succeeding?"
Did you maybe mean "seceding?"
I know, I know, spell check doesn't mean you make sense. But give it a shot some time. Making sense, I mean.

...probably because they were too busy covering the resignation of the right-wing matron saint Sarah Palin.
