Zero tolls, far around Dallas and unless you're making the trip during the morning rush you won't hit a whole heck of a lot of traffic.

Greenville was a great suggestion! Not only did we avoid Dallas traffic, but we had the best Swedish crepes ever, of all places, in an IHOP in Greenville. They were so well prepared and delicious, we stopped there again on the way home and had more !!

We took 380 all the way to Denton, then cut through Denton via Mingo Rd .. then onto 377 south. This northern route didn't take much longer than when we'd come in via 635 off I20. And it was enjoyable driving through beautiful countryside a good part of the way. And of course .. those Greenville crepes sweetened everything.

No need to fear 635 unless during rush hour. I live in Flower Mound and take 635 whenever needed, but try to avoid between 7-9 am or 4-7 pm. Outside those hours, you should be fine.

I assume you mean I35 from the north is how you are coming into dallas? I assume you know ft worth is a separate town and want to bypass it as well? Wanting to go west is sort of broad. Where do you want go? Northwest is one route and west toward Abilene is another route. Clarify and we can help you.

There is I35E and I35W. One runs through FT. Worth and the other, Dallas. What's you ultimate destination?

635 has a Tex-press lane that is sooo much faster. Take that and you'll be good. Back when you traveled 635 that was not available, but construction is complete and so nice! My mom lives in FM and I use it all the time to get to her house.
