The high today is 100 for Dallas and 89 for Key West. Humid or not I still prefer 89 over 100. Plus the winters in key west are fabulous! It stays in the 70's during the day and dips into the 60's at night. You cant beat that anywhere. The summers here in Dallas are brutal and very uncomfortable. Most places in the country do not get into the 100's on a regular basis like it does here. Why are we arguing about which city has beter weather anyway? This thread just says its hot.

It has been my experience on these forums that whenever anything is mentioned about Dallas or Texas being hot and humid, some other place more often than not is also mentioned to make the weather here seem better. It is often compared to Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, et al.
Well, I'm one of those who loves the winter in Texas as long as it's cold. I prefer it never getting above 55 degrees. Maybe that's because it's such a relief from which you describe as brutal summers, and I totally agree with that.
The only other places that stay in the triple digits are places like AZ, way southern CA, and NV. I would say that is to be expected in the desert though.

I think the winters here are dull too. There are no seasons here, I miss fall weather and I miss winter. Hard to get into the holiday spirit when it's 80 out all the time. I didn't know the weather was so bland as it is here. I hate it. Tired of the heat and humidity in the summer months, no way for little kids to live either.
By the way we have been packing for 2 days now. We're looking elsewhere to live. Ran into 4 famlies last week that are in the process of moving out also, we got some extra boxes from one of them. Texas and the heat is not for everyone

I don't know how representative one particular reading is, but even at that, Dallas' weather at 2:53PM is far, far better than Key West's.

It will not necessarily get lower this evening. The 67 dew point just shows one that even with what one might consider "low" humidity, that 67 shows how uncomfortable it is.
By the way, wunderground at 1:26 p.m. shows Dallas with the numbers below, but they're close to wherever you got your information.
96 degrees
43 % humidity
69 dew point
102 heat index
It's HOT!!

More comfortable than Key West by a long shot! Unless you like being all sweaty with sweat drenched clothes...and sweat dripping off your chin every few seconds.

This thread was on the hot weather in Dallas. Key West is not Dallas and I would hope being out in the middle of the hot waters of the ocean, it better be more humid than anywhere in Texas, but it is quite comparable considering the locale. One must admit though, there are many days in Dallas and other parts of Texas that are quite tropical. That cannot be denied.

I think you'll find a lot of people acknowledge that they've had a chill from time-to-time when the temperature is in the high 80s when a breeze blows due to low humidity.
