Beautiful!

Let's break that old record by a large margin so it'll be harder to break again. Whatcha say?

Ha ha! You're so dramatic, but you're very funny. Are you really "for real?"

Kiss my ass. One day is enough.

So from June to August, 1980 had the higher average highs by 0.4 degrees but 2011 had the higher average lows by over 3 degrees. 1980 had (I think) two more consecutive 100 degree days but 2011 will probably have one or two more total 100 degree days. So which one is hotter?

Haha! No, we need to 'really' break that old record.

Dunno about whether most people would consider 1980 hotter, or 2011 hotter. Overall I'd say 2011 would get the nod when you consider that the average low was over 3 degrees higher. But, it's kinda tit for tat. By the way - what's a tat?

I see what you're saying, but on the other hand, the high is more significant since more people are out at that time. But back on the first hand, 0.4 degrees is a pretty insignificant difference. Going back to that second hand, I think I read that 1980 got even less rain which doesn't technically have anything to do with heat, but the extra aridness could make it seem a little worse than it is. It's definitely debatable.

There was a link posted by a user a few pages back that compared the summers in two years (1980 and 2011), and 2011 came out hotter in most categories except average high temperature.

As noted, this is only through the time period of June 1 - August 31.

^^ Yeah, the low temperatures this year are much higher, meaning it's hot in the early morning as well.

By the way, I am glad I am not at Wichita Falls, TX. They have had 99 days of 100+ weather, with tomorrow likely to be the 100th .
