By the way, does anyone know what the situation is regarding water shortage in DFW? I remember many water restrictions coming into effect this summer. Have they been removed, and has the rain in the past couple of months taken us out of the drought?

Here's a map of the most current drought information:

The DFW area is not as bad off as most of the state. Hopefully we can get some good rains this weekend to further relieve the drought conditions and fill up area lakes. You can get more detailed info from the National Weather Service page:

Does this mean it won't be good golf weather?

The city of Dallas will enter Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan on Dec. 12. What that means for customers is further restrictions on water use including watering landscaping only twice per week and only on certain days.

I'm hoping for 2 feet of snow on the ground this year.

I'm hoping to break the old record for the warmest year in 2012.

In return for your wish of snow I'll hope that we break the old record for the most consecutive 100+ degree days, which I know will be absolute hell for you!

Not really. Dude you are NOT living in HAWAII! This is Texas not your fanasty dreamland. It's not going to be hot all year and you know it so stop trippin'. You find every possible way to whine about something you can't control. Everyone in North Texas knows that it's cold in the winter but you refuse to accept it. Just get over it or move out.
