Question Apartment Questions

Following the advice of many, we will probably rent for a while when we relocate to the DFW area. We're thinking the Plano / Frisco / McKinney area to build or buy and would probably want to rent in that area. I've looked into some apartment finder services, the problem is most of the "recommended apartments" do not get great reviews on www.apartmentratings.com

Does anyone have some recommendations for apartment in that general area. I'm looking for a 6 month lease option, BR and at least 1 garage space maybe 2 garages.

Thanks

Hey AZ,

I dont trust apartment ratings, I used to live in MD in an Awesome apartment complex, years ago.. it had just OK ratings and some negative things! unless it has changed a lot!!

anyway, my wife and I are staying at Vintage at legacy in Frisco and love it. GREAT location, BIG apartment, it is a two level, more like a townhouse with your own garage and SO much storage! I think we have more room here than we did in the townhouse we sold in MD!

Check it out! PM me if you want more specifics!

I don't know about their ratings or leasing options, but there are several apartments on Spring Creek near Preston Rd that do offer garages.

Apartment Ratings seemed dead on for Texas when I looked. However, when I went over the San Diego comments for the apts I had lived in, they were very negative and did not portray the facility the way I would have.

Spring Creek has some apts just to the West of Preston that are enornous and feel like detached homes. They are a bit pricey (some over 2k), but if you want to rent something large, I've never seen anything like them.

I love where I am in Willowbend (La Ventura). We have some 3Bdrs here with garages, but they never last long. My little one bdr that faces the pool will be available in a couple of months. Excellent location.

Look at it this way, disgruntled tenants are more likely to post a rating...that's the only way they can get any measure of revenge since they usually lose in court.

I've been a Landlord for 25 years, so I have a bit of experience in such things.
