WoodCreek subdidvision, in Fate...Drees homes
Hi, we were in Rockwall yesterday, and some Drees signs led us to Fate, which they said was in the Rockwall ISD. They are in the first few stages of the phases, and they have some nice homes, just wondering if anyone lives out there, or can give me some ideas or thoughts.
We also saw some homes on acreage, that looked nice, we will be heading back out there today, if anyone knows the names of any, that would be great as well.
I really liked Rockwall, it seemed small and more quaint, than say McKinney, seemed VERY planned, beautiful, but also more pricey. Also some of the houses i looked at in McK, were in their last phases.
Rockwall's downtown is under alot of construction, road wise, but they had some really cute stores......
I saw the shores, which yes i did like, BUT they were really close together!!! i want a little more "space"
We ended up in Melissa, anyone can tell me about that? We only saw the off ramp and the "star" sign that said melissa. It seemed far out though....and i don't know about schools...
Sorry for all the rambling, my head is spinning..we are at a nice RV partk in Grapevine, on the lake, going for a walk.....it is really pretty!!
Thanks
Christina

Woodcreek is a master planned community. Park of it is in Rockwall ISD and another part is in Royse City ISD which has an elementary school onsite that opened in 2007.
Quiet area and you may have found out that you have to go to Rockwall for all the shopping or dining needs but that's pretty close.
When they opened the community in 2003, their tax rate was 3.18. The highest around but they lowered it to the current 2.81 which is still pretty high for DFW because of the MUD tax.
The road construction at the intersection of 205 and I30 has progressed a lot with the 2 left lanes opening a couple of months ago.

There are several threads on here that discuss Grand Homes's reputation. I think you should go through them before your proceed.
