Storms in Flower Mound!
Ah! I heard there were storms and damage in Flower Mound. I have a home there but haven't moved down there yet. Anyone know where in Flower Mound the damage was?

From the Star-Telegram:
Quote:
Twenty six homes in the central part of Flower Mound were damaged, said Michael Ryan, the city’s director of community affairs. The hardest hit areas were in the Coeur Du Lac subdivision on the west side of the city. Most residents described the heavy winds and hard rain the same way — it came and went in seconds.
Work crews cleared the debris from the roadways during the evening after the storm, and Wednesday morning residents were already getting damage estimates, entertaining visits from contract clean-up crews and assessing the damage. The sound of chain saws and mulchers accompanied the backdrop of up-rooted trees, lawn chairs bobbing in pools and tattered screens and roof shingles hanging from trees. One family’s trampoline was carried from the back lawn to the front and the roof of a home on Monet Court was almost entirely ripped off.
Flower Mound was one of two spots where the weather service teams were going to inspect damage for signs of a tornado, officials said.

too close to my home in flower mound
yes, a tornado hit 3 miles west on 1171 and 2499 near Bridlewood. I lost a 22 yr old cotton wood tree and alot of debris and trees down. I was within a mile of where it came down. what area of flower mound is your home?
I would say it is in the north west of flower mound on border of highland village

I have always wondered the same thing and so often we will respond without realizing how old the post is, like "where should I live?" It doesn't do too much good to let someone know an opinion if he/she is probably been settled since 2007..
