Default Driving from Plano to Denison....

Is a drive doable from Plano to Denison on a daily basis? Can you drive 70mph on the 75?

I know a guy who used to van pool from Sherman to 635&75 every day. It's doable but not exactly fun.

Its about a 60 mile drive. I wouldnt do it everyday. Your lucky though because there are many nice areas to live in between the two places you mentioned.

And you can drive 100 mph on 75 if you wish.

Not through Van Alstyne or Melissa, you can't.

That commute would be rough but not unbearable. You'd be going against traffic, so you could probably drive the speed limit the entire way.

I used to work with a lady that drove from Pottsboro to Plano every day. She did that for several years. I think she said it took her an hour or so.

It's definitely doable, though a bit lengthy. I know someone who commutes from Garland to Sherman on a daily basis.

Lot's of people do it every day, in reverse. At least you'd be going against the rush traffic in both directions.

The speed limit is only 65 until the Collin/Grayson County line (thanks to the EPA), then 70 to the river. However, the flow is usually about 75 or so. My daughter does Denison to McKinney daily and it takes her about 30 minutes. Add 15 for Plano.

Lots of people make that commute every day, some even drive it from Oklahoma. It moves fast, but it's not a bumper-to-bumper, tailgating, swerving in and out kind of drive at all.
