I knew about most of these but the newest is the one for Richardson Heights. Richardson is doing an active part in keeping the city going and attractive. Since most of the city is just about built-out in the residential area with only one area left for single family homes to be built and the new development in the Canyon Creek area they are paying close attention to what they approve. So what is going on in Richardson?

An old Richardson shopping center soon will get a $3.7 million face-lift.

The Richardson Heights Shopping Center was built in the 1950s, when the city was being transformed from a small farm on the outskirts of Dallas to a busy suburb.
Is this in the Lake Highlands area?

No but it is not far. Actually the Lake Highlands area is also getting ready to have one large area completely redone. Around the Abrams Northwest Hwy area. They will be tearing down older apartments and shopping centers and building more of a town center type of development.

Well, my favorite place to shop for outdoor furniture is in Richardson. Sunnyland. Years ago they even had a baby/childrens furniture section and we bought the crib there (which is in use still today........ but not w/ me, heavens no). Sunnyland has the best people working there that are very helpful and I could get lost for the entire day in there trying out all the fun yard furniture.

The shopping center getting renovated in Canyon Creek is at Custer & Lookout. From 75 exit Renner and go west, turn left onto Custer and Lookout will be the next major intersection. The Castle is there also (receptions, weddings, etc). Basically bounded by Campbell on the south, Renner on the north, 75 on the east and Coit on the west.

If your in the area for lunch stop in at The Chocolate Angel on Campbell.

Wildflower! looks like a lot of fun! And the Chocolate Angel looks like a restaurant my mom and I would enjoy. Thanks for the suggestions, Momof2.
