Where Can I Find Real (Raw) Milk?

I think around here, you have to buy a membership or a share of a cow.

It's not illegal if you "own" a share of a cow...aka a membership.

what about farmer's market--can/would they do one of the instant--join-the-club-memberships like they used to do for drinking alcohol at restaurants?

that list had the town I grew up in -- Kingsbury--listed as site of natural/raw milk dairy--I think I know the family...surprising to see it here

Default Raw milk available as of 2/28/15

Lucky Layla Farm on Jupiter in Plano. It costs $10 per gallon

Jersey Girl Farm has different drop off locations. Their milk and yogurt taste the best in my opinion. It costs $7 per gallon.

There are also co-ops throughout DFW. I came across them in my search but I found the two providers above referenced and I did not keep their information. Contact Kathy Harris, the local representative and support for the Weston A. Price Foundation 5 years ago. I am not sure if she's the representative, but you can find someone to help you at the organization's website : westonaprice.org

I hope this help.

No. It is illegal to transport raw milk for commercial purposes but you can buy it straight from the farm such as Layla farm as another poster mentioned. Because it is illegal to transport, you will not find it at grocery stores. Smartly legislated!

I second Lucky Layla. They also have great butter, yogurt drinks and couple of different cheeses.

A much better way to go is organic pasteurized milk - I say this a guy who grew up on ranches and dairy farms.

At some point there will be a round of diphtheria or maybe TB from enough people in a certain area drinking raw milk.

I can't believe any real allopathic doctor would recommend raw milk to anyone over organic pasteurized milk. I read somewhere that raw milk is 1,000 or 1,500 times more likely to cause sickness than pasteurized milk.
