Name calling and insults - not a single shred of objective reporting going on here. Very fair, balanced, and effective.

Yes, prior Presidents spoke to students. This however will be the first time it is NATIONWIDE and to ALL students. Back when Reagan spoke it was on CNN and not every school back then had the access to that. Others have spoke at individual schools. This is different.

I've read the lesson plan the DOE came up w/ to go with his speech. They have since rewritten it and taken out the parts that were offensive:
1. How can I help the President?
2. It is important that we listen to our elected officials.

I have a problem with those no matter who is President being discussed in EVERY classroom after a speech from the person.

Questions for the Obama diehards.
Do you believe that Obama can do no wrong?
Do you believe it is okay to dissent w/ the President if you don't agree w/ one of his policies?
Should we just blindly follow the person that is President because we are all Americans?
Should we as Americans have the right to voice our opinions in opposition to the President concerning some of his actions and policies?
If one disagrees with the President and happens to be of a different race does that automatically make them a racist?
Should we as Americans have the right to unite in opposition to something the President is doing?

Geez, so if someone disagrees w/ the President they are automatically "stupid". Wow, just wow.

I guess we should all just be a bunch of sheeple and follow whoever our leader is no matter what. ~~~shaking head in disgust~~~~

Of course Americans can not unite in opposition unles they are liberal marchers for a liberal cause. We as Americans certainly should not disrupt town hall meetings nor disagree with the President regardless of who he or she is.

Sorry, now I will keep my mouth shut on the subject.

you sound like one who believes that obama is a muslim terrorist or the anti-christ, the kind of person who believes they are winning a debate by yelling and hurling insults. One who is ready to form an opinion in 10 seconds, mostly from listening to the de-facto leader of the republican party, rush limbaugh, without weighing the facts or reasearch.

the fact is, you would be against anything Obama and you hope his presidency fails.

the baseless hysteria being shown by the extreme right may have something to do with his policies, but it is obvious that the color of his skin is a major thorn in the side of most (not all) of the republican base.

I miss the days when Kootr tried to convince us that the summers in Dallas were cool and the mornings were actually chilly.
