I just created a new thread requesting info about downtown Dallas residential high rise. i havent been able to find much info. I do know about all of the victory development, but it is out of my range. Can someone point in the proper direction? I am interested in pre-construction/ conversion. One-Arts, azure, mandarin, the house, and W are quite expensive. Maybe the bottom end of W, but they are all gone. The metropolitan is nice. Are there more like it?

I had a relative live at The Shelton (Northwest Highway and the Tollway). It was nice and at the time were apartments and not that expensive (compared to closer to town). I heard they are being converted to condos now.

There are some users on here that live near downtown that can provide a wealth of information.

I am hoping to find a concise list of properties...and the damn realtors dont know anything, and if they do, they will only try to guide to specific properties. Anyway, i appreciate any feedback here.

Why create another thread when you have a perfectly good one right here that's entitled " High ise living in the Big D?"
Have you been reading this thread cococrisp? I think there has been a wealth of information on this subject in this thread alone.
To start another thread requesting info about downtown Dallas residential high rise would be redundant and would divert away from a thread that has already provided tons of information on the many residential options in downtown Dallas.
It appears that everytime people keep offering up information addressing the question that was asked, the resounding response has nothing to do with the wealth of options on living in downtown Dallas, but with how expensive these options are.
Look at the extensive lists provided by hamiltonpl and rantanamo, as well as a few others.
As for expensive; well, it's always going to cost more to live in a downtown turn-key setting where it is almost like living in a Hotel. It's been that way for as far back as I remember. You can either afford to live in such a place or you can't.
I apologize if I come across as a bit harsh; maybe I'm just having a bad day.
Cheers

There are plenty of places that are affordable for the average person in these areas. You just can't expect the same kind of space you'd get in a single family home. You're paying for a lot of convenience though and ease of maintenance.

Just check out one of the 'diva' sites for pricing. As you can see, some start below 100,000.
Moderator cut: websites
In general, the higher the floor, the more expensive. Also, Newer towers along Uptown and Turtle Creek are extremely expensive, while older towers are actually good bargains and have pretty much the same locations.
