Is Lewisville comparable to Frisco?
What about Lewisville, TX? I am looking for an area similar to Frisco. Are these two areas comparable?

No, they are not comparable at all. If you're looking for something like Frisco, why not look in Frisco? I can't think of another place to compare Frisco to.

Well I am not sure what nsmummer is talking about, there is no area like Freisco??
As for Lewisville, I think you might find Flower Mound a little more like Frisco if you are talking demographics. Lewisville is a mixture of classes, some working, lots of middle class and a few areas of upper middle class. It is also a mixture of new structures and much older.
School district, if this is important are similar, both rated good. Depending on where you would be living, the commute can be much better from Lewisville or much worse. The same as proximity to the airport, Lewisville is only about 10 to 15 minutes if this is something you will need, or will help you. Both areas certainly have lots of positives. I think Frisco is a little more like the "burbs" then Lewisville with more transplants and more one sub devison on top of anyother.

The Castle Hills area of Lewisville (east of I 35) is similar to Frisco in many ways. Great masterplan communities, new built homes, golf courses & great schools. Easy to travel to airport, downtown, Willow Bend Mall,Staonebriar & Shops of Legacy with in 20 minutes!

I never said that. I said, "I can't think of another place to compare Frisco to."
Lewisville and Frisco are very much different. The OP didn't say what specific things he wants to compare within the 2 cities. Schools? housing? crime? jobs?

I don't think it sounded that way and I just didn't understand what you meant. Of course no 2 places are exactly alike, but there are places similar to Frisco, Lewisville isn't one of them, I agree except for the Castle Hills area and a few others.
I didn't mean to get your all upset, I was just curios as to what you were talking about.
If you would look at what I asked, I too wanted to know what the OP was actually looking for.
I am really sorry if I did upset you, but I certainly didn't mean for you to take it the way you obviously did...
I see you are a realtor, I am guessing you work in the Frisco area, very interesting..

No, Lewisville and Frisco are not comparable.
Lewisville was a "city" back when Frisco was still a small farm town out in the middle of nowhere with the "Fighting Coons". The only thing they have in common is the fact that both had "Fighting" in the high school mascots name. Lewisville is the Fighting Farmers and Frisco WAS the Fighting Coons. The only other thing they have in common is the horrific traffic and Hwy 121 goes thru both.
Lewisville is much older and Frisco is much newer. Lewisville did have well more retail than Frisco but with growth Frisco has caught up. Lewisville has more "industry" than Frisco. Frisco is a true "bedroom community" as most people that live there don't work there.
Other than that the two can not even come close to being compared.

most people living in Lewisville do not work there, they commute to the airport or into Dallas, others to Irving and surrounding areas.
You are right, it is older, but there are many new areas, especially north and and on the east side.
Lewisville, certainly has developed into a city, they have in the neighborhood of 100,000 now; that is scary!!!! The way Frisco is growing they will be as large before we can blink our eyes.
