This show leaves me speechless (and few things do). LOL Alas, I can never aspire to be such a diva, nor can my daughter, as we have distinct interests, and think beyond ourselves.

My husband can not believe my daughter and I love this show. LOL!!! We watch it to see how foolish these people really are. Funny thing is if they ran into me and heard I lived in, GASP, Garland, they would look down their noses at me. Never mind that my Chihuahua has more class than all of them combined. I've come to determine that if one were to judge true "wealth" based on what is seen on this show and the Real Housewives series...............I'm rich. I'd say "friggin" or "filthy" rich but that would not be lady like I've seen homeless people with more class than the likes of what is on this show. Speaking of............... did anyone see the news story last night on Ch. 8 about the 2 homeless men that are running in some marathon and been training with this group? OUTSTANDING!!! These 2 guys seemed to be so honest and a lot more interesting to be around than any of the "ladies" on DD&D. It really was a great story and you could probably find it on the WFAA website.

I have to believe at least half (probably most) of the things happening on this show are staged.
I don't blame the kids - if I were a teenager, I'd be all over the chance to have my life (real or fictional) be on TV. But why would the moms be willing to appear on this show? Do they not realize how stupid they look?
During the half a show I watched, I noticed how several of the "color guard" boys had their faces blurred out. Apparently, there is SOME good parenting going on.
At the risk of sounding like one of the "divas" :
One other thought - one of the non-blurred boys was Chase, the "kissing bandit". Is this guy really a catch? He didn't look very handsome to me, and didn't seem to be all that sharp, either. Why is Hannah's mom so hot for him to hook up with her daughter?

Big G, I too wondered about the fascination with Chase. There are such good looking young men in the Dallas area, and the filming staff who put all this together and focus on whom they want, you'd think they'd pick some drop dead gorgeous heart breaker!
Also on the dating front, did you see last week's episode? How in the world could Chanel not know her prom date was gay??? Actually, I wish they'd focus a little bit more on Chanel. She goes to Booker T and might be a more interesting person than the average "Diva".

So - not Hannah's daughter - the other "Deb". Wow! Her and her mother need a reality check (in fact they all do). But I digress - there is no way I would permit my daughter to speak to me like that on television and laugh it off. I remember there was a teen show or perhaps a "true life" episode where the daughter was being mouthy to the dad and he forced them to turn off the camera - and he was not joking!
Of them all Hannah's mother is the most tolerable - at least she portrays as if she is trying to raise a young lady and doesnt bow to peer pressure - good for her. And, she has good taste - her husband is definitely easy on the eyes.
The rest of them will regret this - at some point - if they didnt after watching the first episode.

I thought the same thing about Chanel's date. I mean HELLO!!!! She goes to Booker T....... interesting. If she were not so "diva" she might be a lot better. If she is too "diva" then she isn't fitting in with the crowd at her school.
Hannah's sister, Gigi............ Is Pamela her mother? Why is she not going through being a Deb? I'd want both of my girls to have the SAME values and lessons for life. If one really believed in such to start with. Or is this whole Deb thing just for the show for Hannah????
If my girls have been doing Cotillion does that make us Diva's? I never thought so....... Sure don't want to be thought of one either.
Surprisingly I'm finding Courtney to be one of the more sensible of the entire bunch.
Who on earth would allow their teenage daughter to wear THAT TOP that Jacky had on? Did you see it? H-E-L-L NOOO!!!! Then again, went shopping for homecoming dresses the other day and what one girl tried on and her parents were BOTH there and the DAD BOUGHT IT!?!?!?! Guess some people don't care if their girls are showing the goods.
LOL!!! the comments about THE "conceirge" with the staged room with furniture from Rooms To Go. THAT WAS FUNNY!!! He was wearing a bellboy uniform. A high end conceirge wears a suit and tie.

Is that leather faced amazon a hooker? Seriously ...
And the Pamela woman? She acts like a Barbara Bush wannabe ... she admitted that she was a rebellious teenager so she clamps down on her daughter? Shoot! This girl is going to go off to U of Texas and go NUTS!!!!!

I finally caught up on the last two episodes last night. I can't believe how fake this show is in it's situations.
Chanel wanting to tell Conor how she feels about him - obvious a fake situation.
The whole drama over tix to MK and the Gentlemen - fake. C'mon, they played in the garage at HOB not on the main stage. Nobody I know around town has ever heard of them. I don't think there was any sold-out issue going on...I'm betting they had to give tix away just to get people into the show for the filming. And the girls obviously didn't know the songs once they went onstage. MK would have more than 155 FB fans is they were "something".

I hope so! Otherwise, poor Chanel.
