Wylie and Allen Public Schools use Academic Language Therapists on their campuses and have very strong dyslexia programs. Wylie is known to be a leader in this area. Plano is not a good place for dyslexic students, though there have been improvements, the basis of the program is called Herman Reading program and it is not known to be a high quality program.
For tutors you want a Certified Academic Language Therapist, (ALT), they are highly trained in dyslexia instruction with a four year degree, plus an additional two years focusing on dyslexia education. They have a website,
ALTA - Academic Language Therapy Association - Home
Also, for parent support we have a group in Plano,
IDEAS -* Impacting Dyslexia Education Awareness and Support that has a great resource page.
Hope this helps, best of luck
