Favorite Sink: The BIG deep farmhouse sinks
Since that isn't always possible:
DEEEEEP double porcelain undermount sink w/ the high faucet. I've had the stainless sinks and the last one I had was HORRIBLE to get clean. It just couldn't get clean and it was new. This house has a very nice porcelain sink and I've had no issues of it getting scratched up at all and I'm not "careful" with it either. SUPER easy to clean, etc. It's 10 years old and looks brand new.

FND, you have to find the "sweet spot" in the water pressure to avoid the high splash. It varies depending on the depth of the water in the pots/pans your cleaning and such. Don't turn the water up all the way and see if that helps.

my original sink lasted over 20 yrs and was in good shape when they took it out--that sink was one of the top 5 features of the house...
I would love to have put in a farm house sink but cabinetry would have had to be redone
