Denton is a great place to live. Do a search on this forum using keyword Denton and read the posts. I think there was a similar thread about a month ago.

Denton and Corinth (just south) are growing very fast. Many new homes and new shopping areas.

Areas of West Corinth and South Denton are zoned to some of the newest schools in the Denton ISD including Guyer High. Go to their site and you can see attendance maps.
There are many nice neighborhoods off Post Oak Road (Oakmont) or off of Teasley Rd. I lived in Oakmont for almost 8 years and never dealt with crime but I moved away last year so I can't speak for it now but I doubt it's changed that much. The zip code for that general area is 76210, just in case you want to check out some real estate sites. This would include most of Corinth and South Denton on the west side of I-35E. Just check that the schools are in the Denton ISD instead of the Lake Dallas ISD. Other newer areas are in zip 76208 on the east side of I-35E.

denton is like austin 20 years ago (before austin got too big). small and funky with an independent spirit thats hard to find in any other texas town. the music scene here has received a lot of national and international press. paste magazine rated it the best music scene in the nation for 2008.

Oklahoma is a state... Unfortunately by the way. Thanks for trying.
