Default Neighborhoods in the mid-cities

We recently located from Houston and are looking for a good neighborhood with kids in the Grapevine-Colleyville area that feeds into Colleyville Heritage. We have 3 small children (the oldest is 4) and are looking for a neighborhood that has a lot of children or at least has young children. We were spoiled in Houston and lived on a cul-de-sac that had 8 kids 6 and younger and our neighborhood was so kid-friendly. Many of the homes we find that feed into Colleyville Heritage seem older and we are concerned that there won't be young kids there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are you looking for a new neighborhood or older neighborhood? What is your price range?

There are TONS of kids in the Colleyville Heritage attendance zone. Even though the homes are not new, people move here because the schools and community are so good. I live in the GHS attendance zone, and my neighborhood has lots of kids.

Look off Hall-Johnson Road in Grapevine on either side of 121. The west side has higher-priced homes, but the east side (feeds into Grapevine Elementary) is VERY popular. You will need a good Realtor who can show you properties on the day they list because they go FAST, even in this market!!

check the FTW board--that is Tarrant county where more people are likely to know about Colleyville specifics...
will PM you a great MLS site--two in fact--but one is very good for G-C-S area

I grew up in that area. I lived in Euless along Glade and N. Euless Main. The houses in the GCISD area of Euless are a little older, but usually well-maintained. A lot of people are selling there, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a home. They are pretty much ALL 3br/2bth/living/dining/kitchen/den setups. If you have any questions about that area, you can PM me. I'll be happy to help you out.
